Our Diagnosis

The reality is that a child's experience of education in South Africa still depends on where they are born, how wealthy they are and the colour of their skin. Students from poor communities experience problems with high fees, lack of books, deteriorated facilities, lack of teachers, and lack of high-quality instructions. They face many socio-economic challenges linked to poverty such as hunger, violence, high rates of crime, high drop out rates, high rates of teenage pregnancy, increased vulnerability to HIV, etc.
